'Tinks Faces'

Code Of Practice

These are the terms under which I paint by, they are set out so as to make the experience as enjoyable and safe as possible for both the client and the painter so please do not ask me to compromise these, thanks.

I hold indemnity insurance coverage for £500,000.00. If a copy is required then just please ask.

I hold a current CRB check

I will not paint the face of a child under the age of 3 as my insurance does not cover me and at that age they may also have sensitive skin. However i will kindly offer a small design to the hand /arm for younger children.

I only use the highest quality imported professional products which are designed for use on the skin such as  Snazaroo, Grimas,  Paradise. My paints are hypoallergenic and comply with FDA and/or EU cosmetic directives - but if you think your child may still have a reaction please ask for a skin test on (on arm) first please.

A clean sponge is used for every client and brushes are rinsed out with clean water. After each event my kit is cleaned thoroughly and all sponges are cleaned in the washing machine.

The face paints can easily be removed with water and a face cloth.

I will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted, a sleeping child or one who cannot express their own wishes, children with cold sores, conjunctivitis, open wounds or any apparent skin diseases/conditions, cuts - though i will offer a small design to the hand or arm.

I reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone under the influence of drinks and /or drugs, who is violent or abusive.

Faces/symbols that i consider to be offensive will not be painted .

I would also appreciate it that parents would ensure that their child's face is clean prior to painting - though i can’t myself clean the face.

Terms & Conditions

It is the clients responsiblity to inform parents of children attending private parties that a facepainter will be there.

I am not responsible for supervising children. Their behaviour and safety is the Clients and/or parents/guradians responsibility at all times. This also includes the touching/playing with the paints and equipment - for hygiene reasons.

It is at the painters discretion as to when i close.
